Backstich Filling

Over the past few months, I have rediscover hand embroidery and love every stitch of it. Before I had kids, I used to do cross stitch. Its fun but with three kids running around I need something I can pick up and put down and not really worry about the pattern’s count. With embroidery, I just draw the outline in my trusty pen that disappears with a quick spay of water (and sometimes high humidity) and then stitch away.
With embroidery, there are many stitches to lean but this is more of a technique or even a styling. I love the woven look and it is a great stitch to add to any embroiderer’s tool box.
Thank you comfortstitching for providing the step by step way to complete this fill. There are photos to go with every step and it really helped me figure it all out..
