Reuse – What to do with Champagne Cork Holders

Jan 3rd, 2009 Posted in crafting | no comment »

By now, hopefully all the New Year’s Eve Parties have been cleaned up and the world is restored to its regular order.

If you still have the left over wire Champagne cork holders you can make these totally cute chairs.  I see these showing up all over the place at my house.

DotatDabbled posted a great set of instructions over at Instructables.

Reuse – Homemade Lightsaber

Jan 3rd, 2009 Posted in crafting, just because | no comment »

What do you do with all those left over tubes of wrapping paper? I save mine for the family to use (usually as swords). With that said, Marie at Make and Takes came up with a great take on that idea.

She decorates them to be light sabers and other cool uses as well.  If my kids were into firefighters, then her third idea would be perfect.  If the tubes last long enough to get decorated, we’ll be trying it out!
