I found this pattern over at Craftzine.com.  What a hoot!  And the best part is that you can download the pattern for free at Raverly.com.  Kudos to you Carly Zimmerman who not only designed the pattern but has given it away.

(Note: you must register at Raverly.com to be able to access the pattern, but if you’re a knitter – or crocheters or other fiber based crafter – I’m sure you’ll be there soon enough anyway.)

I signed up for this several years ago but getting an email about it made me smile.

Every year the Food Network has “the 12 days of cookies“.  All the recipes are from the on air talent like Alton Brown and Paula Deen to name two of this year’s twelve contributors.

Cookies are good and this time of the year I’m aways searching for a new cookie recipe to add to the batches I will be making over the month.  Once signed up for the 12 days of cookies, you can let cookie inspiration hit you in the email in-box every December.

I am personally looking forward to trying out Anne’s Gingerbread cookies and possibly Giada’s Peppermint-Chocolate Sandwich Cookies.  I’ll be posting pictures of the cookie adventures soon, starring my wonderful KitchenAid stand mixer, named Clive.

Welcome to my site!

I decided to start this to showcase all the good, cool, nifty, and amazing things that are out there in the world.  Only the “good stuff” will be talked about here.

I have no intention on this being a place that is a fluffy bunny/super happy to the point of sappy overload.  Not at all.  I just feel that there is room in this world for a place to focus on good things in the world and shut out the negative things that seem to wear us down, if only for a short time.

I realized that I went to the same sites every day so see what kind of “goodies” they were going to feature.  I would take the links and send them to friends and family to show them this cool thing I found.  Well, why can’t I have a site that does just that?  And thus, this site was started and now I can spread the goodies around to everyone.

Many posts will be just neat things I’ve found but there will also be daily specials like featured websites, guilty pleasures, and worthy charities will show up on a regular basis.

Most of the real world things posted will come from my area of South Jersey and Philadelphia, PA but you never know what kind of gems will be found.  Guest bloggers will bring their own unique world of great things here as well.

No negative, bad or evil things will live in this small part of cyberspace.  There’s too much out there and this is to be a safe haven from all that.  No complaining, whining or being mean allowed!  You have been warned.  Respect for everyone and their views is important.
